Stora Enso Paper Hylte Mill is looking for an engaged, motivated and skilled Process Engineer to the Paper Mill. You will contribute to the development of the traditional paper production by bringing new ideas and implement improvements, so we become the best papermaker there is!

We offer the selected candidate an interesting and varying job in production of first class newsprint paper. The work is in close co-operation with production managers, engineers, technicians and operators.

During the first 18 months in this job you will participate in the Stora Enso GROW Global Trainee Programme.

Job description

As a Process Engineer you will:

  • Learn and understand the mill from a paper mill perspective this includes but not limited to Operations, Cost drivers, Safety and Environment
  • Learn and understand key value drivers in daily operations as well as in strategic decisions
  • Take part in projects and investment planning
  • Support organisation in daily operations and in project work
  • Have a great development opportunity for the right candidate with possible next step after a couple of years into Dept. Manager or similar depending on available opportunities
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Following up and evaluating process performance and paper quality
  • Planning, carrying through and evaluating trials in pilot or full scale
  • Working with process improvements and long-term development of the process
  • Following up to customer reactions in a structured way with analysing, proposing and implementing actions
  • Contact person for chemical suppliers
  • Investigating and analysing process relations and suggesting improvements and new ideas
  • Following research and development in the paper and pulp area as well as other related areas
  • Close cooperation with laboratory, development and process engineers
  • Required Education
    M.Sc. Chemical Engineering or similar.
    Graduation by August 2019 at the latest.
    Work Experience
    Recent graduate or maximum 2 years of relevant working experience.
    Potential future leader with a strong operational focus and interest.
    The person sees his or her future in mill operations for the coming years.
    Language Skills
    Fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English.
    Additional language skill will be considered an advantage.

  • Have graduated with a relevant university degree before 31.8.2019;
  • Are proficient in English;
  • Are willing to travel;
  • Have no more than 2 years of working experience after graduation;
  • Are motivated, development-minded, and up for a challenge.
