Stora Enso and TRÄ Group form the beating heart of the Healthy and Affordable Living Lab (http://heallab.fi). Together we have established a virtual and experimental platform, HEAL, that connects all wood construction industry professionals throughout the value chain. Our aim is to change the way people design, build, buy and maintain houses.

Job description

We look for a curious, “digital minded” and hands on team player, who wants to learn more about agile project management and work in a constantly changing corporate/start-up environment, where a big portion of self-initiative is needed. You would have your work place in Helsinki, probably spending at least part of your working hours at TRÄ office, which is located very close to Stora Enso Kanavaranta office.

We would offer you an interesting position in our multinational and very heterogeneous team consisting both of wood (building) professionals and digitalisation specialists. Your tasks could include following, but depending on your previous experience, we could adapt the work profile accordingly:

Main Responsibilities
  • Working as Product Owner in some of our business cases (in case you have some experience in agile project development)
  • Helping in HEAL Lab related activities, such as partnership recruitment, organising workshops/events, organising trainings, etc.
  • Supporting the HEAL Programme management in developing and improving the methods and tools
  • Helping the communications team both in internal and external communications of HEAL
  • Collecting insights from both internal and external stakeholders (inside and outside of building sector)
  • And many more interesting tasks, that will pop up
  • Required Education
    Degree in business.
    Work Experience
    Recent graduate or maximum 2 years of relevant working experience.
    Language Skills
    Finnish plus fluency in English both written and verbal.
    Other requirements
    Some previous experience either from construction field or new digital business would be helpful, but is not necessary. It would also help if you would have previous experience from agile development or team work tools, such as Jira, Slack, Basecamp etc.

    Most of all we need a person who has a genuine interest in developing new business for Stora Enso, is ready for a dynamic and fast changing environment and has a talent to network with many different stakeholders.

    General requirements

  • Have graduated with a relevant university degree before 31.8.2019;
  • Are proficient in English;
  • Are willing to travel;
  • Have no more than 2 years of working experience after graduation;
  • Are motivated, development-minded, and up for a challenge.

    Wood Products division provides versatile wood-based solutions for building and housing. Our product range covers all areas of construction, including massive wood elements, wood components and sawn goods. We also offer pellets for sustainable heating. Our customers are mainly merchants and retailers, industrial integrators and construction companies.
