We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to our Containerboard Product Management function. For this new position, we seek an ambitious and energetic colleague with a combination of technical and commercial skills to support the profitable growth of containerboard global business and support the differentiation of our offering via services.

Job description

The main responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist is to support our business growth by developing our service offering further, identify new markets and segments in the converting and packaging business, support the development of new business models, and work closely with sales and technical customer service throughout the sales process.

Based on our business unit’s service selling processes and Stora Enso’s Way of Selling you will partner with Sales and relevant supporting functions (e.g. technical customer service, sustainability, supply chain, marketing etc.) to support the selling of services, formulate value propositions, identify business opportunities with existing customers and quantify and communicate the expected value of containerboards services for its customers.

Main Responsibilities
The Business Development Specialist will be driving the further development of the service offering of Containerboard Business Unit. Therefore, the main responsibilities of the job are:

  • Create and follow up on service selling cases according to Stora Enso’s Way of Selling in partnership with Sales and supporting functions
  • Develop service offering (incl. product strategies and processes) and sales tools
  • Develop value based selling approach for services
  • Conduct containerboard-specific market research to identify new markets, market trends and customer needs
  • Analyse the unique selling points of Containerboard Business Unit and give input to our marketing
  • Support the development of new business models
  • Create structured proposals and presentation material for Containerboard management
  • Competitor follow-up and best practice analysis
  • Required Education
    Master Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Economics/Business
    Graduation by August 2019 at the latest.
    Work Experience
    Recent graduate or maximum 2 years of relevant working experience. Working experience in technical support or sales will be considered an advantage.
    Language Skills
    Fluent in written and spoken English.
    Additional language skill will be considered an advantage.
    Other requirements
    The ideal candidate has excellent communications and presentations skills, is result-oriented, analytical and is willing and able to take initiative proactively.

    General requirements

  • Have graduated with a relevant university degree before 31.8.2019;
  • Are proficient in English;
  • Are willing to travel;
  • Have no more than 2 years of working experience after graduation;
