Biomaterials division is looking for a Development Engineer Trainee to be based in Skutskär in Sweden. This is a very exciting opportunity to become part of our journey towards a truly renewable materials company.

We offer the selected candidate the possibility to learn hands-on all about mill operations to contribute to the competitive success of our company and to develop into a true development engineer.

During your first 18 months in this job you will participate in the Stora Enso GROW Global Trainee Programme.

We see that you have the ambition and willingness to move further to other pulp mills in Stora Enso.

Job description

In the role as Development Engineer Trainee you will support analysing the mills performance to ensure environmental, cost and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting customers/project owners with concept studies for improvement and/or investments projects
  • Within your competence area undertaking missions/studies in projects
  • Providing regular updates and compliance checks in the area of your responsibility
  • Required Education
    MSc level degree.
    Education in Recovery or Power Plant area.
    Work Experience
    Recent graduate or maximum 2 years of relevant working experience. Experience from mill operations will be considered an advantage.
    Language Skills
    Fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish.
    Additional language skills will be considered an advantage.

    General requirements

  • Have graduated with a relevant university degree before 31.8.2019;
  • Are proficient in English;
  • Are willing to travel;
  • Have no more than 2 years of working experience after graduation;
  • Are motivated, development-minded, and up for a challenge.

    Unit Description

    Biomaterials division offers a wide variety of pulp grades to meet the demands of paper, board, tissue, textile and hygiene product producers. We also develop new ways to maximise the value extractable from the wood as well as other kinds of lignocellulosic biomasses. The extracted sugars and lignin hold potential for use in a range of applications.
